Definitions
- 1.(a) A process (resembling splicing) by which two ropes are jointed end so as to form one rope. (b) The process of tying together the ends of yarns in pairs, to prevent tangling.
- 2.Stinging; irritating. Nettling cell (Zoöl.), a lasso cell. See under Lasso.
