What does "portulaca" mean?
Portulaca: A genus of polypetalous plants; also, any plant of the genus. Note: Portulaca oleracea is the common purslane. P. grandiflora is a South American herb, widely cultivated for its showy crimson, scarlet, yellow, or white, ephemeral blossoms.
